Strategic Outlook

Strategic Planning & Reporting

Our strategic planning allows us to reflect on past performance, establish future directions, and decide our definition of success. This planning occurs in two parts:

  1. Four Year Strategic Plan: The goals in this plan are based on initiatives from the Framework for Improved Student Outcomes (FISO)—a Department of Education and Training initiative that provides a common language and an enquiry-based approach to improvement across Victorian Government schools.
  2. Annual Implementation Plan: Each year we develop an annual implementation plan (AIP). The AIP supports the operationalisation of the four-year School Strategic Plan, articulating how we school will implement, monitor and evaluate progress against the School Strategic Plan each year.

Our 2022-2025 Strategic Plan goals are as follows:

  • To maximise learning growth for all students in literacy and numeracy.
  • To improve student wellbeing and engagement through increased student agency.

2024 Annual Implementation Plan:

In 2024 we will continue to focus on student learning and student wellbeing through the priorities goal, a learning key improvement strategy and a wellbeing key improvement strategy.

  • Learning:
    • Strengthen staff capacity in differentiation in Number & Algebra to identify and meet students’ individual learning needs.
    • Implement a whole school approach to teaching the 6+1 Traits of Writing.
  • Wellbeing – Effectively mobilise available resources to support students’ wellbeing and mental health, especially the most vulnerable
    • Strengthen the whole school approach towards wellbeing through the implementation of The Resilience Project.
